Open Studio for Airport Mosaic Murals Draws Fans

After nearly a year in the making, I’ve finished fabricating my biggest works yet: two very large mosaic art murals – summer and winter scenes of the Northern Lights – for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. To celebrate, I hosted an open house in my warehouse studio in July. I gave friends, family and fans a chance to see the murals in person before they become a permanent part of Terminal 2 (The Humphrey Terminal). It was a great turnout!

Granted, the murals have not yet come to life. They’re currently staged on the floor, waiting for installation later this month (so no perspective, nor grout). But this photo (it’ll have to do), gives a glimpse of the fun afternoon.

Check back around Oct. 1 to see photos of these newly installed mosaic monstrosities. I’m beyond excited to get them up, step back, and feel really proud.
